Underground Wellness, a website dedicated to overall health and wellness, is hosting a free 8 day Paleo Summit. From the website, “ Beginning on Sunday, February 26th you will have an all-access pass to the research, experiences, and ideas of a who’s-who of the health world. Not only will you become familiar with a ton of Paleo science and perspective — such as the evolutionary evidence for the optimal human diet — but you’ll also learn how to implement a new (err, old) way of eating and living that works for you.”
The schedule is loaded with big names in the Paleo movement like Mark Sisson, Sarah Fragoso, and Melissa and Dallas Hartwig, as well as medical doctors, trainers, naturopaths, dieticians and bloggers.
If you’re interested, visit the Paleo Summit website and register. The schedule is posted so you can pick and choose which presentations you’d like to view. Presentations will be posted daily and available for viewing for 24 hours. Alternately, transcripts will be available for purchase so you can view at your leisure.
This is what I know: eating Paleo makes me feel better and perform better. When I veer off the tracks and drink milkshakes or eat pizza or savor crusty bread with a bowl of creamy soup, I don’t feel good (even though it tastes so good). I know a little about how our digestive systems work (or don’t work) and I’m looking forward to learning more about the science behind it. I’m hoping there is something on the schedule that piques your interest and that you too will learn why our bodies work the way they do.
